Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

The role

We are looking for a SUPERSTAR to drive our financial planning and analysis function.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a smart, self-motivated individual to join an early stage financial technology start up.

This individual will provide financial and business analysis support to the CEO and Chief Capital Officer and will provide meaningful information to the broader management team, Sales, Product Management and other departments within the organization who rely on the information to make informed business decisions.  Primary responsibilities include maintaining a comprehensive financial model, assisting in the annual and quarterly planning process and general forecasting.

Job Description

Prepare monthly reporting and analysis of financial performance against prior periods, budget, and forecast, highlighting key variances and providing explanations for use by management.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial forecasts and the annual budget, including preparing supporting schedules, assisting in preparing the financial budgeting model, creating reports and analysis and coordinating with key personnel from various departments.
Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations and Capital Markets to develop and deliver analysis of key performance metrics on ongoing basis.
Perform other duties as assigned and required in support of the above specified responsibilities.

Experience / Skills Required:

5 – 7 Years of experience in similar positions within Financial Services; strong experience with financial statement analysis and forecasting.
Strong academic record.  CPA or MBA preferred.
Strong verbal & written communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects.

Demonstrated knowledge of presentation skills and project management.
Excellent attention to detail, great time management skills and ability to self-manage.
Intelligent, go getter, ambitious, self-motivated and hungry for success.
Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
